Warnings: Violence, bad language. I lean hard on "grumpy, violent old man, with heavy shades of angst." I'm not much one for gentler threads, except for very rare occasions.
I'm always up for hashing some details before starting a log, especially with castmates. Since this canon leaves so much up to interpretation, I like to make sure we're on the same page.

Smut: A bit hesitant to dive into it with people I've never talked to before, just a brief chat will do. I don't expect it to be a super frequent thing with lonely grumpmaster here, but that's why AU's exist.

Headcanons: These are things I default to, but I'm hope to discussing things, or playing it differently
- The Fight: Gabe was jealous of Jack. In that way that a tiny irritation grows into giant monster over time and under stress. Jack said that Overwatch "was hit from inside and out." The inside was Gabe, which Jack now assumes was on purpose. And assumes the attack from the outside was partially Gabe's doing. But he's also a bitter old man
- Jack and Soldier: They might be the same man, but they are two distinctly different people. I am actually terrible at playing pre-fall Jack. I see him as being a bit too serious for his own good, married to his work, decent at his job, slowly cracking under the pressure of holding to orders that he knew were wrong, his teammates were his family.
- Issues: Soldier's got himself a serious case of PTSD. Instead of being about any sort of battle, it's about responsibility and personal relationships. He can't ever go back to any sort of leadership and struggles to trust anyone. With maybe the exception of Ana, he's hesitant to jump into a fight with anyone on his side.
- Jack and Gabe: They were as close as can be, once upon a time. But now they can't stand each other. Whether through gross misunderstanding or legitimate reasons, anything they had before has since turned to rot
